A classic fortified wine produced on the island of Madeira. Famed for its unrivalled capacity to age (you can still find wines from the 1700s) and ability to stay fresh once opened.
2 centuries of fine wine production. Family owned since 1811, Blandy’s are the only founding family of the madeira wine trade to still own and manage their original company.
Terrantez is one of the islands (and the worlds) rarest grape varietals. It almost went extinct in the 1970s and has been on the cusp ever since. In 2004 only 1 ha of terrantez vineyard existed. A particularly fine and elegant grape producing wines with fresh acidity and a medium sweet style.
